ProofKit

Desktop app · install once

ProofKit in its own window, on every machine you own.

Install ProofKit like any desktop app: a real window, no browser tabs, a launcher in your dock or start menu, and a launcher that opens straight into the builder. The service worker keeps the builder working even when your connection is having a bad day.

If the install button does not appear, your browser wants the menu route: Chrome and Edge put it in the address bar, Safari in Share.

Install

Three routes, all one-click.

Chrome or Edge (best)

Open the menu in the address bar and choose Install ProofKit (or Cast, save and share → Install page as app). You get a desktop icon, a start-menu entry and an app window with no browser chrome.

Your builder, the scanner and your saved drafts keep working offline once installed.

Safari on iPhone or iPad

Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The icon opens ProofKit full screen with your drafts intact - the closest thing to a native app without an App Store download.

Scoring and exports work offline; the AI tools need a connection.

Android

Chrome menu → Add to Home screen, or open the site and use the install prompt. Same app shell, same offline shell.

Android Chrome installs it as a PWA with a launcher icon and splash screen.

One-click launcher

Or grab a launcher and skip the menus.

These tiny scripts open ProofKit in a dedicated app window (no tabs, no address bar) and pin it to your taskbar or dock. Run it once; it works every time after.

Windows - double click, then right click the shortcut → Pin to taskbar.

Download for Windows

macOS - open the file, then drag it to your Dock.

Linux - make it executable once, then run it.

The launchers only open a URL in a window. They install nothing, change no settings and phone nowhere. If you would rather not run a script, use the browser install button above - same result.

What it is, honestly

An app shell, not a native binary.

ProofKit runs in your browser engine as an installed app - the same way Spotify, Figma and most modern tools ship on the desktop. You get a window, an icon, a dock entry, offline caching and a launcher. What you do not get is a separate compiled binary sitting on your disk, because the same app has to run on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

One window. One install.

Builder, 23-check scanner, cover-letter writer, job tracker and proof links - in a single app window.
