Compare · no hype, no stealth
The copilot comparison, written the way we actually talk.
You are shopping for an interview copilot, and every landing page sounds the same. So here is ours without the varnish: what we build, what we refuse to build, and how that lines up against Cluely, Natively, and Parakeet. Where we could not verify something about them, we say so.
Disclosure
The one difference that matters
Everything else on this page is features. This is the part that decides whether you keep the job after you get it.
Our copilot is visible on purpose. It shows up in every screen share, every recording, every screenshot - like any normal window. There is a banner on it that says so. There is no stealth mode, no capture-exclusion trick, no process disguise, and there never will be. Not as a flag, not as a test build, not for any price.
Why? Because an interview is a person making a real decision about your life with the information you give them. A helper that only works while hidden is asking you to lie to that person for as long as it takes to get caught - and hiring managers in 2026 know this category exists. We would rather build the thing you do not have to hide.
Side by side
Us against the stealth copilots
The other column is a group description on purpose: the products change fast, and we will not put words in anyone's mouth that we cannot check.
| Question | ProofKit | The stealth copilots |
|---|---|---|
| Where the tool shows up in your screen share | Right there, labelled ProofKit, with a disclosure banner | Nowhere - hiding it is the selling point |
| What the interviewer knows | That you have notes. You can say so out loud. | Nothing, until someone finds out later |
| Where the answers come from | Your saved resume and the pasted job post - grounded, metered on your plan | A general model guessing about your life, unless you wire up your own key |
| What gets kept after the call | A 400-character preview and the debrief, on your machine. The full transcript is never stored. | Varies by product - read their privacy pages |
| The rest of the job hunt | ATS builder, 23-check scan, templates, examples, job search, letters, MCP, extension, desktop app | Not the business |
| Price | Public, plans start at $0 | Check their pages - some gate the real tier behind calls |
Individually
Cluely, Natively, Parakeet - one paragraph each
Summarized from their public marketing as of October 2026. It changes; if we got something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Cluely
The loudest name here. Their pitch is undetectable AI - a helper nobody on the call can see - and their own marketing leans all the way into it. If that is what you want, we are not it, and asking will not change that. One practical note: a tool whose core feature is hiding from screen capture is one browser or OS update away from not working. A tool that does not hide does not have that problem.
Natively
A real-time interview copilot in the same category, and from what we can see a competent product. When we looked, we could not find a plain statement of whether their overlay appears in your screen share. That absence is the tell. If disclosure matters to you, ask them directly and compare the answer to ours at the top of this page.
Parakeet
Same category again: real-time help during calls. Same note - we could not find a written stance on where their window shows up. That is not an accusation; it is the reason this page exists. A company that is proud of where its product appears can say it in one sentence. Ours is: it appears, on purpose, everywhere.
Fair is fair
What they have that we do not
- A stealth mode. We will never build one. You may want it; we accept that we lose the sale.
- More funding and more users. They are bigger, they shipped first, and some of their polish is better. That is fine.
- The viral story. "Undetectable" is a great hook. Being the boring company that discloses is a worse hook and a better product decision.
Our side
What we have that they do not
- Answers grounded in your actual resume. The copilot pulls from your saved resume and the job post, so the answer is about your work - not a generic engineer's.
- Nothing kept. The full transcript never leaves the window. Sessions end as a debrief plus a short preview, stored on your machine, wiped in one click.
- The whole toolkit around it. ATS builder with the deterministic 23-check scan, 20 templates, real examples, job search, cover and resignation letters, an MCP server, a Chrome extension, a PWA, and a Windows desktop app.
- Bring your own keys. Deepgram for speech, any OpenAI-compatible endpoint for answers - or use our metered AI. Your call.
- Prices in public. Plans start at $0. No sales call to find out what it costs.
Decision time
How to choose, like a human
If you want undetectable: close this tab. We are not it. No hard feelings.
If you want to walk into calls with notes you are not ashamed of: that is us. The copilot hears the question, drafts an answer from your resume, and shows it in a window that says what it is.
If you run interviews and want to test your process: point your reviewers at our visible copilot. It is the honest way to find out what your screening actually catches, because it is not trying to dodge anything - and if your process misses a tool that is not even hiding, that is worth knowing.
Hear the question. See the answer. On the record.
Try the copilot with a free plan. If you ever want the stealth version, we will still be saying no.
